About Banff Springs Hotel above the Bow River

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel rises above the forests of the Bow Valley in Banff National Park, Alberta, and many Canadians call it the Castle in the Rockies. The Canadian Pacific Railway opened the first, wooden hotel here in 1888 to bring travellers to its new line across Canada, and the stone building in the Scottish Baronial style seen today was finished in 1928. Just below it the Bow River drops over Bow Falls on its way to the prairies. In this photo the white water of the river rushes past dark pines, with the grey towers of the hotel on the hillside above.

Puzzle tip: start with the grey towers of the hotel and the white rapids, then fill in the dark forest and the mountain slope.
