About Boat at the Mouth of the Underground River, Palawan

On the west coast of Palawan, a river runs for more than eight kilometres through a cave under the limestone mountains before flowing straight into the sea. The Puerto Princesa Underground River is one of the longest navigable underground rivers in the world, and its lower part rises and falls with the tide. The park around it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 and was named one of the New7Wonders of Nature in 2011. Visitors enter in small paddle boats wearing helmets. In this photo a boat full of visitors floats at the cave mouth, below cliffs hung with plants.

Puzzle tip: the boat with its colourful passengers is the place to start; the clear turquoise water comes next.
