The Philippines is an island country in Southeast Asia made up of more than 7,000 islands, with white beaches, volcanoes and coral reefs. Our Philippines puzzles show some of its most famous natural wonders, the limestone islands of Palawan and a scene from old Manila.

On the island of Bohol, more than a thousand rounded Chocolate Hills rise from the plain; their grass turns brown in the dry season, which gave them their name. Mayon Volcano is famous for its almost perfectly symmetrical cone, and beside it stand the ruins of the Cagsawa church, buried by an eruption in 1814.
Boracay is known for its fine white sand and colourful sailboats at sunset, and hidden lagoons among limestone cliffs attract kayakers. In Intramuros, the walled Spanish-era heart of Manila, horse-drawn carriages still carry visitors along the old streets. In Palawan, the cliffs of El Nido and the lagoons of Coron rise straight out of turquoise water, and bangka boats carry visitors from island to island.
