About Chocolate Hills, Bohol

The Chocolate Hills are more than 1,200 rounded, grass-covered hills spread across the island of Bohol. They are made of limestone, shaped over millions of years by rain and erosion. In the dry season the grass turns brown and the hills look like rows of chocolate drops, which gave them their name. Legend says they were formed by two giants throwing stones at each other.

Puzzle tip: the rounded green hills repeat, so look closely at their shapes and shadows.
