About Limestone Islets of Coron

Coron Island, in the north of Palawan province, rises from the sea in sharp limestone peaks covered with forest. A steep trail climbs to a viewpoint above this cove on the way to Kayangan Lake, one of the clearest lakes in the Philippines. The island is the ancestral home of the Tagbanwa people, who care for its lakes and forests. Nearby Coron Bay is famous among divers for a dozen Japanese ships sunk there during the Second World War.

Puzzle tip: the tall green islets are the key pieces; the turquoise water and the boats come next.
