About Coconut Palms at Mitsamiouli Beach

Mitsamiouli, at the northern tip of Grande Comore, is known for some of the most beautiful beaches in the Comoros, with white sand, clear water and coral reefs close to the shore. The islands are often called the perfume islands, because they grow much of the world's ylang-ylang, a fragrant flower used in perfumes, as well as vanilla and cloves. In 1938 a coelacanth, a fish thought to have died out with the dinosaurs, was found in the Indian Ocean, and the deep waters around the Comoros turned out to be one of its homes. This photo shows tall coconut palms leaning over the beach at Mitsamiouli.

Puzzle tip: start with the palm trunks and their leaves, then the sand and the sea, and the sky last.
