About Corner of Frederiksborg Castle above the Moat, Hillerød

From 1671 to 1840, Danish kings were anointed in the chapel of Frederiksborg Castle, which survived the great fire almost untouched. The chapel still holds an organ built by Esaias Compenius in 1610, one of the oldest in Europe that is still played. Outside, the castle's walls rise straight from the water, decorated with carved sandstone, gables and small towers. The castle lake was dug and shaped to protect the palace on its islands. In this photo a corner of the castle, with its round turret and decorated windows, stands above the moat beside a leafy tree.

Puzzle tip: the red brick and pale stone give clear patterns; the dark water and the tree come at the end.
