Denmark Puzzles
Denmark is the smallest of the Scandinavian countries, a flat land of farms, beaches and islands between the North Sea and the Baltic. Our Denmark puzzles visit Copenhagen, its lively capital by the sea, the royal castles of Zealand and Funen, and Skagen at the country's northern tip.

About Denmark
Denmark is made up of the Jutland peninsula and more than 400 islands, and nowhere in the country is more than about 50 kilometres from the sea. It has one of the oldest monarchies in the world, and it gave the world the writer Hans Christian Andersen and the LEGO brick. In Copenhagen, more people ride bicycles to work than drive, and the canals of Nyhavn are lined with colourful old houses.
North of Copenhagen, Kronborg Castle at Helsingør, Shakespeare's Elsinore, guards the narrow strait to Sweden, and Frederiksborg rises from its lake in Hillerød; on Funen, Egeskov stands in its moat on oak piles. At Skagen, where two seas meet, a tall lighthouse looks out over moving dunes.
Newer puzzles go back to the Viking Age: the ring fortress of Trelleborg and a rebuilt longhouse at Fyrkat, the stone ship graves of Lindholm Høje, Harald Bluetooth's rune stone and the great stone ship at Jelling, a Viking warship at the museum in Roskilde, and Ribe, the oldest town in Denmark, with its cathedral.
