About Elephant and Calf, Loango National Park

Loango National Park, on the Atlantic coast of Gabon, is often called Africa's last Eden. Its lagoons, beaches, grassland and rainforest lie side by side, and it is one of the few places on Earth where forest elephants, buffalo and even hippos walk out onto the beach and sometimes into the surf. Whales and dolphins pass offshore, and sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand. In this photo a forest elephant and her calf walk through the green grass at the edge of the forest.

Puzzle tip: start with the two grey elephants, then the bushes and the line of trees, and the open grass and the sky last.
