About Green Islands of Lake Kivu near Bukavu

Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes, about 90 kilometres long and in places almost 500 metres deep, set among steep green hills. It is dotted with islands, the largest of which, Idjwi, belongs to DR Congo and is home to many farming and fishing villages. The lake has no crocodiles or hippos, and its clear water makes it a favourite place for swimming. This photo, taken from the shore at Bukavu, shows forested islands on the calm blue water under a cloudy sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the green islands, then the hills behind them, and the blue water and the white clouds last.
