About Mountain Gorilla, Virunga National Park

Mountain gorillas live only in two forested areas of East and Central Africa, and about a third of them live in the Virunga Mountains of DR Congo. They are the largest living primates: a grown male, called a silverback for the grey hair on his back, can weigh more than 200 kilograms. Thanks to strict protection their numbers have slowly risen, and small groups of visitors can spend an hour with a habituated family. This photo shows a gorilla of the Humba family resting among green leaves.

Puzzle tip: start with the gorilla's dark face and arms, then its black fur, and the many green leaves around it last.
