About Mountain Creek in Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado was created in 1915 and straddles the Continental Divide. Trail Ridge Road crosses it and climbs to about 3,713 metres, the highest continuous paved road in the United States. Its many creeks begin as snowmelt high on the peaks and run down through meadows and forests of spruce, fir and pine, joining to form the Colorado River on the park's western side. In this photo a clear creek flows between grassy banks and dark conifers towards snowy mountains.

Puzzle tip: start with the snowy mountains and sky, then follow the creek, and fill the dark conifers last.
