About Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, Shiraz

The Nasir al-Mulk Mosque in Shiraz was built between 1876 and 1888 and is famous for its stained-glass windows. On sunny mornings, light pours through them onto the Persian carpets and painted columns, filling the prayer hall with colour. It is often called the Pink Mosque, after the rose-coloured tiles used throughout the building.

Puzzle tip: the coloured windows and their patterns are the highlight; the carpets are best sorted by colour.
