About Old Stone Church in Bethlehem

Bethlehem has dozens of churches of different Christian traditions, from Greek Orthodox and Catholic to Armenian, Syriac and Lutheran, many of them in the old town around Manger Square. They are built of the same pale limestone as the houses, quarried in the hills around the town, which turns golden in the afternoon sun. Star Street, the old route of pilgrims and of the Christmas procession, winds through the town past many of them. This photo shows the stone front and bell tower of one of its historic churches under a clear sky.

Puzzle tip: the stone blocks of the walls help you match the pieces; the clear sky is the hardest part.
