About Ometepe Island from Above

Ometepe is an island in Lake Nicaragua made of two volcanoes joined by a narrow neck of land: Concepción, which is still active, and the older Maderas, covered in cloud forest. Its name comes from the Nahuatl words for two mountains. The island is also known for its ancient rock carvings of people, animals and spirals, left by the peoples who lived there long before the Spanish arrived.

Puzzle tip: the volcano and the island's shoreline are the key shapes; the lake and the sky come next.
