About Ostrog Monastery in the Cliff

Ostrog Monastery is built straight into a vertical cliff at about 900 metres above sea level, high over the Bjelopavlići valley in central Montenegro. It was founded in the seventeenth century by Basil of Ostrog, a bishop of Herzegovina, whose relics are kept in a small cave church inside the rock. It is the most visited pilgrimage site in Montenegro, and Orthodox Christians, Catholics and Muslims all come to pray here. Its brilliant white walls seem to grow out of the grey stone. This photo shows the monastery clinging to the cliff face.

Puzzle tip: start with the white walls of the monastery, then fill the grey and brown rock around them.
