About Palm Beach and Lagoon, Palau

Most visitors to Palau stay in and around Koror, where small beaches and lagoons look out towards the Rock Islands. Palau lies about 800 kilometres east of the Philippines and has fewer than 20,000 people, spread over more than 300 islands. Its waters are full of reef fish, turtles and manta rays, and diving and snorkelling trips leave every morning. This photo shows a sandy beach with coconut palms beside a calm turquoise lagoon, a little footbridge and a boat waiting in front of forested hills.

Puzzle tip: start with the palm trees and the white sand, then the turquoise lagoon and the dark green hills behind.
