About Patricia Lake and Pyramid Mountain, Jasper

Patricia Lake lies a few kilometres north of the town of Jasper, below Pyramid Mountain, a 2,766-metre peak whose quartzite glows red and orange in the evening sun. During the Second World War the lake was the site of a secret experiment called Project Habakkuk, which tested whether ships could be built from a mixture of ice and wood pulp; the remains of the small prototype lie at the bottom. Today the lake is a quiet spot for canoeing and fishing. In this photo the green lake and forest lie below the mountain.

Puzzle tip: start with the mountain and the sky, then the forest, and finish with the green water.
