About Saint-Malo from the Air

From above, Saint-Malo's old town, known as Intra-Muros, looks like a stone ship moored at the edge of the sea, joined to the mainland only by a narrow strip of land and its harbours. Its ramparts make a walk of nearly two kilometres around the town, with views over beaches, islands and forts. At low tide visitors can walk across the sand to the small island of Grand Bé, where the writer Chateaubriand is buried facing the sea. In this aerial photo the walled town, the long jetty, the harbour and a ferry are surrounded by blue water and pale sandbanks.

Puzzle tip: start with the walled town and the jetty, then the harbour and the ferry, and finish with the sea and the sandbanks.
