About Sandy Island from Above, Philippines

From the air, a long, narrow island in the Philippines shows a strip of white sand, a patch of green trees and clear, shallow water all around. The Philippines is made up of more than 7,600 islands, and many of the small ones are little more than sandbars and coral reefs. They lie within the Coral Triangle, the region of the Pacific with the richest marine life on Earth, home to hundreds of kinds of coral and thousands of kinds of fish.

Puzzle tip: the white beach is the easiest part; the green trees and the shallow turquoise water need more patience.
