About The Red Rocks of the Calanques de Piana, Corsica

The Calanques de Piana, or Calanche in Corsican, are a wild landscape of red granite cliffs and pinnacles that rise steeply from the sea on the west coast of Corsica. Wind, rain and salt have carved the rock into strange shapes, some of which have names such as the Dog's Head. Together with the Gulf of Porto and the Scandola nature reserve nearby, they have been a World Heritage Site since 1983. A narrow winding road runs through the rocks, with views far over the gulf. In this photo jagged red rocks frame a glimpse of the blue sea and a distant headland.

Puzzle tip: start with the red rocks in the front, then the patches of blue sea, and finish with the distant headland and the sky.
