About Turf-Roofed Barn with Norwegian Flags

Grass roofs, called torvtak, have covered farm buildings in Norway for hundreds of years. Layers of birch bark are laid on the wooden roof to keep out the water, and thick pieces of turf are placed on top, keeping the building warm in winter and cool in summer. Norwegians love their red, white and blue flag, and it flies everywhere on 17 May, Constitution Day, when children's parades fill the streets of every town and village.

Puzzle tip: the red flags are the easiest pieces to find; the green roof and the dark wooden walls come next.
