About Turquoise Peyto Lake, Icefields Parkway

The Icefields Parkway runs for 232 kilometres between Lake Louise and Jasper, past more than a hundred glaciers, and Peyto Lake is one of its most popular stops. The lake is fed by the Peyto Glacier, which scientists have measured for decades because it is shrinking quickly. Its colour is brightest from late June to August, when the most meltwater flows in. A short paved path leads from the parking area to the viewing platform. In this view the lake stretches towards the valley beyond, ringed by dark forest.

Puzzle tip: build the curve of the turquoise lake first, then the dark forest on both sides, and the mountains last.
