About Wooden House with Red Shutters, Louisbourg

Inside the walls of the rebuilt Fortress of Louisbourg, on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, the streets look much as they did around 1744, when a few thousand soldiers, fishermen and merchants lived in this French town. The builders followed old French plans, drawings and archaeological finds, so each house stands where the original once did. In summer guides in 18th-century clothes bake bread, fire muskets and show visitors how people lived and worked here. This photo shows a wooden house with red shutters beside an old stone home on a quiet gravel street.

Puzzle tip: start with the red shutters and white window frames, then the stone wall, the gravel street and the pale sky.
