English Harbour from Shirley Heights, Antigua
In the eighteenth century, English Harbour was a base of the British navy, sheltered from hurricanes by the hills around it. Its restored buildings, known as Nelson's Dockyard, form a World Heritage Site and are still used by sailing yachts today.
Above the harbour, the lookout at Shirley Heights gives one of the finest views in the Caribbean, especially at sunset, when people gather there for music and food.
