Switzerland is a small country in the heart of the Alps, famous for its mountains, lakes, trains and chocolate. Our Switzerland puzzles show its most famous peak, the Matterhorn, along with alpine valleys, mountain lakes and the old towns of Bern and Lucerne.

The Matterhorn, Swiss Alps
The Matterhorn rises 4,478 metres on the border between Switzerland and Italy, and its sharp, almost pyramid-shaped summit makes it one of the most recognisable mountains on Earth. It was first climbed in 1865 by a team led by Edward Whymper. The village of Zermatt at its foot is free of petrol cars, and visitors arrive by train.
In the Bernese Oberland you can put together the cliffs of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the blue water of Lake Oeschinen and wooden chalets near Interlaken. Bern, the federal city, has a medieval Old Town on a loop of the Aare River, and Lucerne lies on the shore of its lake, at the foot of the mountains.
