About Palm Tree above the Sea, Barbados

Barbados is a small island, about 34 kilometres long, yet its coast changes from calm, sandy bays in the west to wind-swept cliffs and rolling green hills in the north and east. Its name is thought to come from the Portuguese for the bearded ones, perhaps after its bearded fig trees. English settlers arrived in 1627, and the island became independent in 1966.

Puzzle tip: the palm tree is the centre; sort the sea and the sky by their shades of blue.
