Barbados is the most easterly island of the Caribbean, known for its friendly people, cricket and, many say, as the birthplace of rum. Our Barbados puzzles show palm-lined beaches, rugged bays and the colourful streets of Bridgetown.

The island has two very different coasts: the calm west coast, with gentle turquoise water and white sand, and the wild east coast, where Atlantic waves crash against rocks. Archer's Bay in the north is a small cove below the cliffs.
Bridgetown, the capital, and its old military garrison are a World Heritage Site. Around the island, small wooden chattel houses painted in bright colours were once built so that workers could take them apart and move them from place to place.
