About this place ↓

About Snowy Peak and Iceberg, Antarctic Peninsula

The Antarctic Peninsula is a long, mountainous arm of Antarctica that reaches north towards South America. Its peaks are part of the same mountain chain as the Andes, and its sheltered channels are where most visitors arrive by ship between November and March. In midsummer the sun hardly sets, and on calm days the mountains, glaciers and icebergs are mirrored in the still sea.

Puzzle tip: the dark rock on the mountain gives the clearest shapes; the calm sea and the blue sky come next.
