About Aurora above Snowy Peaks, Myrland, Lofoten

Bands of green and blue light fill the sky above the snow-covered mountains around Myrland, a tiny settlement on the island of Flakstadøya in the Lofoten archipelago. The colours of an aurora depend on which gas in the air is glowing and how high it is: oxygen gives the common green and, much higher up, a deep red, while nitrogen adds touches of blue and violet. The strongest displays happen when great storms on the sun send clouds of particles towards Earth.

Puzzle tip: the white mountain in front is the easiest part; the green and blue bands need patience, so sort them by colour.
