About Palacio de Bellas Artes, Mexico City

The Palacio de Bellas Artes is Mexico City's great cultural centre, with a concert hall and museum inside and murals by famous Mexican artists. Building began in 1904, but work stopped during the Mexican Revolution and it did not open until 1934. Its white marble outside is in an Art Nouveau style, and its colourful domes are covered in glazed tiles.

Puzzle tip: the golden domes and the lit white marble are the heart of the picture; the evening sky and the plaza come last.
