About Parroquia of San Miguel de Allende

The pink spires of the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel rise above the main square of San Miguel de Allende, in central Mexico. The church dates from the 17th century, but its neo-Gothic front and towers were added in the late 19th century by a local stonemason, Zeferino Gutiérrez, who is said to have been inspired by pictures of European cathedrals. It is built of pink local stone and has become the symbol of the town.

Puzzle tip: the pink spires are the centre; the green trees and the blue sky come next.
