About Geiranger Village and Its Fjord from Above

Geiranger is a small village at the inner end of the Geirangerfjord, one of the most famous fjords in Norway. Fewer than three hundred people live here all year, yet in summer cruise ships and coaches bring hundreds of thousands of visitors. The fjord, together with the Nærøyfjord further south, has been a World Heritage Site since 2005. Roads climb steeply out of the village in hairpin bends to viewpoints high above the water. In this photo the village, its green fields and the winding fjord lie far below between forested mountains.

Puzzle tip: start with the village and the green fields, then the fjord, and finish with the dark forest and the clouds.
