About Autumn in the Great Smoky Mountains

Great Smoky Mountains National Park lies on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina and is the most visited national park in the United States. The mountains are among the oldest on Earth, worn into long, rounded ridges. Their name comes from the blue haze that often hangs over them, partly made by natural compounds given off by the forest. With more than 100 kinds of native trees, the park has one of the longest autumn colour seasons in the country. This photo shows ridges covered in red, orange and gold.

Puzzle tip: build the far blue ridges and the sky first, then sort the autumn trees by their red, orange and gold colours.
