About The Flåm Railway in Winter

The Flåm Railway runs about twenty kilometres from the mountain station of Myrdal down to Flåm by the fjord, dropping more than eight hundred and sixty metres on the way. It is one of the steepest standard railways in the world, and it passes through twenty tunnels, many dug by hand. The line opened in 1940, and today it is one of Norway's most popular attractions; trains stop at the thundering Kjosfossen waterfall so passengers can step out. In this photo the dark red carriages curve along a snowy mountainside, with the valley and peaks ahead under a clear blue sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the train and the tunnel, then the snowy slopes and the bushes, and finish with the mountains and the blue sky.
