About Lough Tay in the Wicklow Mountains

Lough Tay is a small, dark lake in the Wicklow Mountains, south of Dublin, lying in a deep valley below steep granite cliffs. It is often called the Guinness Lake, because the land around it was long owned by the Guinness brewing family, and because its dark water and pale sandy beach look like a pint of stout with its creamy head. On that beach the producers of the television series Vikings built Kattegat, the village of Ragnar Lothbrok, which appears in the first seasons of the show. In this photo the deep blue lake, the white beach and green fields lie below wooded slopes and bare hills.

Puzzle tip: start with the white beach and the green fields, then the lake, and finish with the hills and the sky.
