About Inukshuk on the Shore, Vancouver

An inukshuk is a figure of piled stones, built for centuries by the Inuit of the Canadian Arctic to show the way, mark good hunting and fishing places and tell travellers that people had passed by. Vancouver's best-known inukshuk, on the shore of English Bay, was made by the Inuk artist Alvin Kanak for the Northwest Territories pavilion at Expo 86 and was later given to the city. A figure like it became the emblem of the 2010 Winter Olympics, held in Vancouver. In this photo a grey stone inukshuk stands by the water in Vancouver, with the beach and city towers behind it.

Puzzle tip: start with the stacked grey stones, then the buildings along the beach, and finish with the water and the sky.
