About Rosenborg Castle, Copenhagen

Rosenborg Castle was built by King Christian IV between 1606 and 1624 as a summer house just outside the walls of Copenhagen, which then still had open fields around it. He loved it so much that he chose to die there, in 1648. Today the castle is a museum of the royal collections, and its basement treasury holds the Danish crown jewels and regalia. Around it lies the King's Garden, the oldest royal garden in Denmark and a favourite place for picnics in summer. In this photo the castle's red brick, sandstone trim and green copper spires stand against a pale sky.

Puzzle tip: the green spires and the light stone trim are good starting points; the pale sky comes last.
