About The Vittoriano, Rome

The Vittoriano is a vast white marble monument on Piazza Venezia, built to honour Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of a united Italy. Begun in 1885 and completed in 1935, it holds the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a museum of Italian unification, and a glass lift carries visitors to a rooftop terrace with sweeping views. Romans jokingly call it the wedding cake.

Puzzle tip: the long row of columns repeats, so look for the statues and flags to place each piece.
