About Boats in Maya Bay, Ko Phi Phi Le

Maya Bay lies on Ko Phi Phi Le, an uninhabited island in the Andaman Sea, and is almost enclosed by limestone cliffs more than 100 metres high. It became world famous after the film The Beach was shot here in 1999. So many boats followed that the coral was badly damaged, and in 2018 the bay was closed to let the reef recover. Since it reopened in 2022, visitor numbers are limited and swimming is not allowed. This photo shows boats on the shallow turquoise water between the cliffs.

Puzzle tip: start with the dark green cliffs on both sides, then fill the turquoise water around the white boats.
