About St George's Cathedral, Georgetown

St George's Cathedral in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, is one of the tallest wooden churches in the world, rising about 43 metres. It was designed by the English architect Arthur Blomfield and completed in 1899, built mostly of local hardwood such as greenheart. Its pointed windows, steep roofs and slender tower follow the Gothic style of English churches, but everything is made of timber painted white. Georgetown was laid out by the Dutch and the British below sea level, protected by a long sea wall. This photo shows the white cathedral under a deep blue sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the tower and the green-framed windows, then the white walls and the blue sky.
