About Northern Lights over Þórsmörk, Iceland

Green stripes of aurora rise behind a rocky ridge and shine back from a frozen pool in Þórsmörk, a valley in south Iceland named after the god Thor. The valley lies between three glaciers, Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Tindfjallajökull, and is sheltered enough for birch woods to grow. It can only be reached by high off-road vehicles that ford glacial rivers, and it is the end of the famous Laugavegur hiking trail. In winter its dark sky is perfect for the northern lights.

Puzzle tip: the snowy ground and the rock face on the left are the easiest parts; the green stripes and their reflection come next.
