About Roman Theatre of Sabratha by the Sea

Sabratha, on the coast west of Tripoli, began as a Phoenician trading post and grew into a rich Roman city in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. Its theatre, built around AD 190, is one of the best preserved in the Roman world: its stage wall still rises three storeys high with dozens of columns. The ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site, lie right beside the Mediterranean, among sand, bushes and pine trees. This photo shows the theatre standing above the low scrub by the sea.

Puzzle tip: start with the theatre and its columns, then the green bushes in front, and the sandy ground and the sky last.
