About Road through the Golis Mountains

The Golis Mountains run along the north of Somalia, parallel to the coast of the Gulf of Aden, and catch more rain than the lowlands, so their slopes are greener and dotted with acacia and frankincense trees. Frankincense and myrrh from this region were traded to Egypt, Arabia and Rome thousands of years ago, and some scholars think this was part of the ancient Land of Punt. This photo, taken about six kilometres north of the town of Sheikh, shows the road curving between rocky slopes and green trees.

Puzzle tip: start with the curving road, then the green trees and the rocky slopes, and the sky last.
