About Blue Domes of Oia, Santorini

Santorini is what remains of a volcano in the Aegean Sea that erupted violently around 3,600 years ago, leaving a vast flooded caldera ringed by cliffs. The village of Oia, on the island's northern tip, is famous for its whitewashed houses and blue-domed churches built into the cliff face, and for its sunsets. These blue domes, looking out over the caldera, are among the most photographed sights in Greece.

Puzzle tip: start with the bright blue domes; the white walls and the calm sea below need patience.
