About Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul

Gyeongbokgung was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, built in 1395 when Seoul became the capital. It was burned during the Japanese invasions of the 1590s, rebuilt in the 1860s and badly damaged again in the 20th century; much of it has since been restored. Its throne hall, Geunjeongjeon, stands on a two-tier stone platform with the mountains behind it.

Puzzle tip: the painted roof and its curves are the key; the stone courtyard comes last.
