About The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is not one wall but many, built and rebuilt over more than two thousand years to guard China's northern borders. Counting all its sections, it stretches for over 20,000 kilometres; most of what visitors see today was built during the Ming dynasty (1368–1644). This photograph from 1974 shows the wall snaking along the crests of steep mountains.

Puzzle tip: trace the wall along the ridges first; the misty mountains behind it are best done by their shapes.
