About Alpine Lake near Engelberg

High in the mountains around Engelberg in central Switzerland, a turquoise lake lies in a green valley beneath jagged limestone peaks. Many Swiss alpine lakes were scooped out by glaciers during the last ice age and are still fed by meltwater in summer. Engelberg grew up around a Benedictine monastery founded in 1120, and today cable cars rise from the village to Mount Titlis, where the Rotair gondola turns slowly round as it climbs, giving riders a view in every direction.

Puzzle tip: the turquoise lake is the clearest shape; the rocky ridge and its shadows are the hardest part, so save them for last.
