About Autumn above a Lake in Saguenay, Quebec

Fall colours cover the hills above a lake in the Saguenay region of Quebec, Canada, about two hundred kilometres north of Quebec City. The region takes its name from the Saguenay River, whose lower course is a deep fjord about a hundred kilometres long, carved by glaciers and visited by whales near its mouth at Tadoussac. Its forests of spruce, birch and maple turn colour earlier than in the south, often in mid-September. In this photo a dark lake lies between steep wooded hills of green, yellow and red, under a blue sky full of white clouds.

Puzzle tip: start with the dark lake and the hills around it, then the bright trees in front, and finish with the white clouds and the blue sky.
