About Pohyon Temple, Mount Myohyang

Pohyon Temple lies in a wooded valley of Mount Myohyang and is one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in North Korea. It was founded in 1042, during the Koryo dynasty, and keeps a tall octagonal stone pagoda from the 11th century. The temple also holds a printed set of the Tripitaka Koreana, the great collection of Buddhist scriptures.

Puzzle tip: the painted temple roof and the stone pagoda are the highlights; the lawn comes last.
